OUR METHODOLOGY

SHOOTING CALIBRATION

No Hesitation Basketball Shooting Clinics are designed to calibrate players to the task of shooting, not teach them to repeat a perfect form.

Players must be able to control energy, distance, ball flight, and precision in any situation the game throws at them. This requires shooting form that can adapt. Players need an understanding of how different components of the shot affect their ability to control these 4 functions across repetitions.

We explore everything, including shooting in ways that work and ways that don't. The goal is to build sensitivity to different parts of the shot so players can find a shooting form that works best for them and allows them to adapt. From there, we put players in real game situations that test their ability to make shots in different conditions, exploring how to adapt the shot as needed.

Currently, we offer 2 types of shooting clinics: Exploration and Adaptability.

EXPLORATION:

Players will explore shooting in ways that work, and ways that don't work in order to become more sensitive to what matters and calibrate their system to the task of shooting a basketball. Players also learn how these components allow them to adapt in different ways.

BEST FOR: New players, weaker shooters, players still developing their shot, players with ingrained dysfunctional shooting habits, players looking for a deeper understanding of the shot

ADAPTABILITY:

Players will explore how to adapt their shot to different game situations as well as what specific parts of their shot may be limiting their ability to adapt. Shooting form that can adapt to solve game problems is better equipped to show up in games.

BEST FOR: Better shooters with functional shooting habits, players that are good practice shooters but poor in game shooters, players who have attended one or more exploration clinics

By the end of each session every player will leave with a better understanding of what it means to be a good shooter as well as 1 to 2 things that are hurting their shot they can work on.
